Somebody broke my record. It keeps going 'round and 'round playing the same tune OVER and OVER again, and I don't know about you, but I'm sure sick of hearing it, and am ready for the next track already. The entertainment factor for this tune is lonnnng since past.
What the hell am I talking about? Take a wild guess.
Got stood up again. Several times.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Again.
I mean REALLY now, come on, this is getting ridiculous. I'd think it funny if it weren't happening to me. As it is, it's just exasperating, frustrating, and disenheartening.
Yeah, this weekend really really kinda SUCKED...
So I've got my frog-kissin' boots on lately and keeping the frogs lined up around the block in an effort to find my prince.
Why oh why did I just get a mental image of porn star Houston in the "Houston 500" with men lined up around the block for a gang bang? That was SO not what I was going for there.
Although the idea DOES have some merit...
Oh wait, nevermind... that falls firmly into the category of fantasies that need to stay in fantasyland only cuz in reality, yeah... not so much with the hotness.
A quote that has been occurring often to me lately was uttered by the illustrious Steve Martin in L.A. Story. He says thet "There is someone out there for everyone - even if you need a pickaxe, a compass, and night goggles to find them."
Night goggles, check... compass, check... pickaxe... well, fortunately I haven't had to use that one yet, but I keep my foldup pickaxe in my purse on dates just in case the creepy ones try to get fresh with me.
Hopefully my spelunking in the caverns of datery will be help me find a spiffy cavedwelling frog soon!
...and these are the sorts of thoughts that occur to me when I'm sitting in the jury duty room marvelling over the fact that they have computers and intarweb access for da jurors.
